Just reached Passau....really beautiful. We overlook the Denube....don’t know why the song is ‘Blue Denube’ it’s brown. Three rivers join in Passau, ones green, one blue and one brown and in my ‘Denube Cycleway’ I read that you can see the separate colours for a while where it merges. Had a look on google and you can, now we’ll see it real life!

On the train we saw lots of cyclists on the cycle path beside the river. Soooo excited.

We’re off to find somewhere to drink a German beer in the sunshine :)

note: It’s the blue Denube because it is blue. The ‘Denube Cycle way’ book I’ve been reading on Passau had it back to front in book. Now it makes more sense.
